If you are reiterative human being of changing password then it always make you arduous  to remember passwords. If you are more concern about  security then again same question arises . To maintain the appearance record of an employee in an organization manually vigilance is not so precise . So , to overcome with this arduousness biometric security system is introduced.

Biometric Security system is a measurable , physical  characteristic or personal behavioral trait used to recognize the identity or verify the claimed identity of an enrolled user.  In short you can say future without password. Venue  where this technique  widely absorb are Workplace , desktop , corporate, network , internet etc. Biometric system classified in two segments : “physiological”  and “identification”. Biometric process include enrollment and verification.  Enrollment process include present biometric , capture , process and store while  verification process include present biometric , capture, process and store. Both enrolled data and verification data are compared if both  match then the verification is assume to be valid.

Biometric  Security can be any of  cognizance  Iris , finger , face ,voice ,  signature. Iris recognition done through capturing and encoding  the iris pattern which  are too complex. Iris pattern are unique that’s  why imitation is almost impossible. Misidentification rate for iris recognition is 1/1200000 , which results its application for high security purpose . Finger print recognition is the oldest  techniques uses finger print pattern , known for its uniqueness and immutable. Misidentification rate for this  technique is 1/1000 , it is universally used and  lies in the category of medium security . For face recognition image quality is an important issue and having misidentification rate 1/100.Pattern code for this technique are out line , shape , distribution of eyes and nose. Signature recognition uses shape of letters ,writing order and pen pressure as a pattern recognition. Misidentification rate for this recognition is 1/100.In voice recognition software remember the way you say each word. Limitation of this recognition is that one can speaks the accent that you speak . Pattern code for this technique is voice characteristic. Misidentification rate for this is 1/30.  So it  security assurance is too low in this case.

Future application of biometric security system are ATM machine use , Work station and network use , internet transaction , telephone , public identity , travel and tourism.
